Sweet Fennel’s sweet, liquorice-like aroma has traditionally been used as a stomachic and carminative.  Fennel has long been used for the relief of indigestion and flatulence. Fennel may also relieve premenstrual symptoms and dispel fluid retention.  Fennel is not to be used during pregnancy or by people suffering from epilepsy.

As it has a tonic effect in skin care, it is recommended to enliven dull and oily skin &/or mature complexions. It is cleansing and warming.
